Static Screen - Components - Sensors

Sensors detect any vehicles within their range. They have to different modes to run in: active mode, in which vehicles are detected through bounced radio waves; and passive mode, in which vehicles are detected through their heat signature. Sometimes a vehicle's radar signature will be too low to intercept accurately, due to the use of jammers and other equipment. This may cause the target vehicle to 'flicker' on radar when detecting from long range. |

1* The chance to detect a vehicle is determined by the formula: % Chance to Detect = (Vehicle RCS + RCS Modifier) * (Sensor Resolution + Resolution Modifiers) / (Distance / 1000) If the target is out of sensor range, it cannot be detected on radar.

2* The Satellite Map also plays a part in vehicle detection. When no enemy vehicle can be detected within radar range, the satellite will scan over a long range until it finds the nearest enemy vehicle, including any stealthy ones.
